DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

The opportunity to create, experiment and ultimately innovate something from scratch is one of the best parts of what we do. Our designs have been awarded, patented and built in all parts of the world - to the success of our clients.  Design and development brings together the the full breadth of our technical skills, manufacturing expertise, economic design, modelling/drafting, prototyping and testing.

RPEQ CERTIFICATION

Safety and compliance through Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) certification is our core business.  RPEQ certification is a quality assurance mechanism which ensures machines and structures are suitably compliant to applicable Standards, fit-for-purpose, and meet health and safety obligations.  The RPEQ certification process varies according to the contractual and legislative requirements required. In particular, design verification, is a national requirement for listed items of plant. It is mandatory for these items to be reviewed and registered before use. This typically includes reverse engineering of your design

 or to ensure compliance to the required standard. Commonly verified plant includes:

  • Cranes and hoists

  • Elevated Work Platforms and 'Cherry pickers'

  • Pressure vessels

IN-SERVICE INSPECTION

Mechanical plant wears out by its very nature. Knowing when and what about to fail is critical. Our approach to these assessments combine our past experience with our technical and practical engineering skills to evaluate the condition and offer solutions (if necessary). Our expertise:

  • Mobile Crane 10 & 25 year rebuilds | Bridge, monorail and gantry cranes - major inspections

  • EWP and Scissor lift - major inspections & enhanced inspection regimes

  • Drill rig, API 4G cat 4 Inspections

  • Tanks and Silos

  • Conveyors, shakers and material handling plant

  • Lifting gear, equipment and Winching systems.

PROJECT, CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN MANAGEMENT.

We believe in supporting our designs beyond issue of drawings. Ensuring the project gets built and commissioned as intended, on time and in budget. As such we provide the support for the whole project from design, procure, commission, through to assessment for change and change management, supervising upgrades and refurbishment, and even decommissioning.

VEHICLE MOD PLATES

BSQE is a registered RVCS agent and licencee, and work with a number of low volume vehicle manufactures. This, combined with our compliance and analysis skills, covers import, manufacture and regulative certification for your vehicle needs.

Our engineers also hold Transport and Mains Roads Approved Persons qualifications for handling vehicle modifications and resolving defects. This includes light vehicles, motor cycles, trailers and heavy vehicles and covers virtually all modification codes.
